Rainwater Kindergarten Grows, Welcomes New Teacher and Classroom Section

Rainwater Elementary’s kindergarten program recently expanded from two sections to three, marking a significant change for students, families and staff. The adjustment brought a new kindergarten teacher to the school, which required restructuring class lists to accommodate the additional section. While the transition meant some students moved to new classrooms and got acquainted with new classmates and teachers, the school worked to make the change as smooth as possible.

Despite the classroom changes, one part of the kindergarten routine has remained consistent: visits to the library. Throughout the transition, kindergarten students have continued visiting the library and checking out books, maintaining an important part of their school routine. The continued library visits have given students an opportunity to explore new stories, choose books to take home and enjoy a familiar activity as they adjusted to the changes in their classrooms.
